In 2002, in response to the call from the government of Lishui, Zhejiang Province to return to their hometown and start their own business, under the leadership of their father Chen Jisong, brothers Chen Qingfeng, Chen Qinghua and Chen Qingping invested in the then Dasha Industrial Park to establish the Santian Filter Manufacturing Factory. With this backyard production and manufacturing base in their hometown, the Chen family's business grew bigger and bigger.

In 2008, Chen Qingfeng founded Kong Shan Heavy Machinery Co Ltd in Shunde District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, specialising in the research and development, manufacture, sales and service of submersible drilling rigs, mobile air compressors and their supporting components. The company always aims at the international advanced technology level, through continuous independent development and technological innovation, it has obtained 5 invention patents and 46 utility model patents. Based on the successful development of powerful dust-absorbing technology, the company has developed a series of high-efficiency and energy-saving crawler-type hydraulic drilling rigs with independent intellectual property rights, and the products have steadily occupied more than 60% of the market share in South China.

In 2010, Chen Qingfeng cooperated with others to develop two professional wholesale markets, Auto Parts City and Machinery City, each covering an area of 300 mu and investing nearly 300 million yuan, attracting many dragon and foreign merchants to set up business. 2012, he was elected the second president of Guangzhou Engineering Association.
